How it works

Trail Routes

Trail Routes is a curated directory. Routes are published after review, so the information you see has been checked by someone.

  1. 1

    Open Trail Routes

Published routes show distance, difficulty, surface and access status.

  2. 2

    Search or filter

Filter by state, region, riding style, route type, terrain, distance and difficulty.

  3. 3

    Read the route details

Check the summary, distance, riding styles, surface, bike suitability and when the access information was last verified.

  4. 4

    Suggest a route

Use Suggest a Route to submit one. Include links that support it and say where the information comes from.

  5. 5

    Submit a condition report

If a route has changed, report the conditions from the route page so other riders know.

Good to know

  • •Access changes. Route pages show when access was last verified — always check permissions, closures and fire bans with the land manager before you ride.
  • •Downloads are only offered where a file has been reviewed and approved. Not every route has a downloadable file.
  • •Suggested routes and condition reports are reviewed before they appear publicly.

Frequently asked

Why isn't every route available?+

Routes are only published after the information and its source have been reviewed. Submissions that can't be verified stay unpublished.

Do I need an account to suggest a route?+

Yes. You'll be asked to sign in when you submit a route or a condition report.
